Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 64317 to BaRbArIaN CoLiSeUm. Elõd Garamvölgyi was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Tarjei Iversen and Ataíde Nabo. The wings were the focus of most of Barbalona's attacks today. After 24 minutes, CFC's G. Peña swiftly ran past S. Brustad and nutmegged the keeper! 0 - 1. G. Peña of CFC received a yellow card after 28 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. 34 minutes in, and Barbalona were able to score the equalising goal to make it 1 - 1 when S. Brustad picked up a pass coming in from the right and chipped it past the away team's keeper. CFC had several good opportunities to take the lead, especially 41 minutes in when P. Jiménez came up alone against M. Trętowski who managed a block. M. Trętowski looked great 42 minutes into the match after stopping a shot from the middle of the penalty area from the visitors' G. Peña. It was obvious that Barbalona had instructions to attack on the wings instead of in the middle. The home side put themselves ahead 2 - 1 after 43 minutes courtesy of a breakthrough from B. Butet, who scored with a stunning volley following a cross from the right wing. S. Scarpa could have put Barbalona up one more, but he fired into the side netting after breaking free on the left after 44 minutes. After 44 minutes CFC's B. Willach contracted a slight foot injury, but didn't want to leave the game. 2 - 1 was the halftime score. Possession in this half belonged to Barbalona, who controlled the ball 58 percent of the time.

The Barbalona players could smell victory in the air. M. Kruschik wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for C. Lugo after 46 minutes. J. Klemetti left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 49 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. A. Kugaevskiy was the replacement. With 49 minutes played, A. Padilla could have brought this one home for Barbalona as he charged up on the left, but his hooked ball went just a bit too high. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Barbalona coach let H. Yasinsky replace S. Brustad after 50 minutes. The visitors didn't give in and, after 65 minutes, B. Willach got through the home side's central line of defence, rolling in the equaliser to make it 2 - 2. Barbalona fans held their breath as V. Cantor scampered down the left side. He successfully avoided all challenges and cracked home the shot for 3 - 2! Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Barbalona, with 61 percent of the ball.

Barbalona's top performer was clearly A. Padilla. M. Trętowski was a disappointment, however. The most dominating CFC player was without a doubt G. Peña. On the other hand, U. Ofenboeck's play was disheartening. The match ends 3 - 2.
