46946 spectators arrived at
El Nido, where weather conditions were pretty good for football.
Ted Schnider was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Jean-Gabriel Varady and
Giovanni Arcunti.
Chima decided to use a 3-5-2 set up.
They fielded: Madera - Lüftner, Balev, D'haene - Portales, Collet, Segale, Trigo, Campano - Bargiggia, Zeni.
A 3-4-3 alignment was the formation of choice for punta.
Starters: Cana Galindo - Leal Dias, Bulkin, Trahanovich - Trouche, Laspouras, Omur, Valadares - Dengg, Rodríguez, van Gessel.
Chima used their ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings.
For their match strategy, punta had decided to use their ability to counter-attack whenever possible.
They were singing the praises of
T. Lüftner 3 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from the middle of the penalty box found its way over the visitors' keeper to make the score 1 - 0 to Chima.
The visitors almost came back with an equaliser 30 minutes into the match after a good combination down the middle, but when
S. Leal Dias tried to finish the attack, he couldn't deliver the shot hard enough to seriously challenge the keeper.
A great save by keeper
H. Cana Galindo after 32 minutes kept the visitors in the game after
B. Segale struck from the left with a real cannonball.
punta had to make a substitution after 38 minutes.
H. Cana Galindo limped off the field and was replaced by
J. Traun.

Chima had most of the ball, with 61 percent of possession.
M. Campano increased Chima's lead to 2 - 0 with a penalty spot cannonball.
With 57 minutes played,
G. D'haene could have brought this one home for Chima as he charged up on the left, but his hooked ball went just a bit too high.
After 74 minutes, Chima's
M. Campano found the back of the goal with a beautiful free kick. 3 - 0.
After this, you could see that the players of Chima were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals.
Chima had a good opportunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle attacks.
83 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as
E. Balev broke through, making the score 4 - 0 for Chima.
Possession in this half belonged to Chima, who controlled the ball 62 percent of the time.
J. Zeni performed admirably for Chima.
However,
T. Lüftner made a disastrous appearance.
Most important punta player was
C. van Gessel.
L. Trouche turned in a dismal performance, however.
The match ends 4 - 0.
