This was a good period for the visitors, with several opportunities to take the lead, particularly when F. López slipped through the defence on the right to come up alone against J. Hernández, but the home side's keeper showed his lightning reflexes. It was showtime for artist R. Pérez who showed off his technical mastery when he rounded S. Jacques and finished with a goal to make the score 2 - 1. The home side's R. Pérez came close to extending the lead 70 minutes into the game. His shot came in from the right hand side but R. Fernández managed to save it with an unbelievable reaction stop. The visitors' equaliser seemed sure to come after 72 minutes, following a one on one situation around the left hand side of the goal area, but J. Hernández got the best of it, blocking the shot from E. López. Lagomar's L. Martel swung in a good chance from the left, but the visitors' defence were able to clear the ball. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave I. Brachi from Lagomar a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 81 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! In a fantastic display of determination, Metales's O. Grosmüller forced himself to his feet, after an opponent viciously knocked him down. Metales had most of the ball, with 54 percent of possession.

The most dominating Lagomar player was without a doubt C. Herrera. C. Rusomando turned in a dismal performance, however. Most important Metales player was E. López. R. Fernández was a disappointment, however. The match ends 2 - 1.
