Maxant made a superb strike after 23 minutes with a shot straight in front of the goal after a long ball through the middle, but one of the visitors' defenders got a foot in at the last second and warded it off for a corner. F. Buirette showed the skills that make him a real crowd pleaser as he, after 24 minutes, wove through the guests' entire central defence and put the 1 - 1 equaliser away. After a fine move down the middle D. Maxant nearly gave the home side a goal after 39 minutes. However the finishing shot went just wide. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 1. Team890 enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 52 percent of possession.

Players in Team890 heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their central attacks to the wings instead. Team890 took the lead after 49 minutes as a result of N. Kurihara's peach of a shot from the right hand side of the box - placed beautifully in the top corner. 2 - 1. The bench was restless, and with 55 minutes passed Simacota's coach gave R. Iragui the opportunity the player had been hoping for. A. Ramírez reluctantly left the field. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Simacota's D. Jude was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 59 minutes. E. Plebani was given a chance to change things around. After 70 minutes, Simacota switched N. Praud with F. Caita of Simacota seemed to be floating in the air as he elegantly headed in to make the score 2 - 2 after a corner kick that was nicely executed by O. Ruffini. Team890 took the lead 78 minutes in, as A. Álvarez broke through on the left and put the 3 - 2 shot just beyond the reach of the outstretched keeper. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Team890 coach let P. Oldham replace D. Maxant after 80 minutes. J. Cánepa was the new captain of Team890 - handed the armband by the departing player. Simacota players heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their wing attacks to the middle instead. The visitors kept the pressure on to tie the game when, after 81 minutes, E. Plebani broke through the centre and found himself alone with the keeper. J. Cánepa made a great block, though. Team890 had a good opportunity to attack in the middle, but remembered their instructions to focus on wing attacks instead. With 86 minutes played, F. Vandereycken could have brought this one home for Team890 as he charged up on the left, but his hooked ball went just a bit too high. M. Skriver made a good effort at breaking through on the right, but the home team's left defence cleared the ball to a corner. Possession in this half belonged to Team890, who controlled the ball 54 percent of the time.

The most dominating Team890 player was without a doubt B. Smythe. A. Gallardo turned in a dismal performance, however. Simacota's best player was N. Gorgass. However, E. Plebani made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 3 - 2.
