SilverMoon 4 - 2 Venados (392018771)

Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and Luna Park saw a crowd turnout of 45104. Simon Naudet was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Christer Nyhbeck and Onne Kroes. SilverMoon decided to use a 3-4-3 set up. They fielded: Frassanito - Ruiz, Linklater, Chatellenaz - Vinkler, Reisinger, Laroche, Cioncolini - Herrera, Moreno, Montero.

Venados started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Cronhall - Pobar, Ortiz, Cino - Mattei, Ehritt, Kendell, Dubois, Bramuzzo - Rodríguez, Toledo.

SilverMoon took the lead 11 minutes in, as Y. Reisinger broke through on the left and put the 1 - 0 shot just beyond the reach of the outstretched keeper. SilverMoon's Y. Reisinger increased the lead to 2 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 18 minutes. After this, you could see that the players of SilverMoon were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. D. Linklater could have put SilverMoon up one more, but he fired into the side netting after breaking free on the left after 21 minutes. SilverMoon managed to extend their lead to 3 - 0 when J. Moreno cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. Venados fought on and, after 32 minutes, F. Toledo was able to reduce the deficit to 3 - 1 after some excellent moves on the right side were finished off with an incredibly clever chip. Halftime score was 3 - 1. SilverMoon had most of the ball, with 51 percent of possession.

Coming from the right, S. Ruiz almost managed to score another goal for SilverMoon, but his header was tipped over the bar by the visitors' keeper. The bench was restless, and with 75 minutes passed Venados's coach gave M. López the opportunity the player had been hoping for. O. Cino reluctantly left the field. As R. Montero had, completely unprovoked, swept the legs out from under an opponent in front of a linesman, the referee gave the SilverMoon player a red card without batting an eyelid. 78 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as J. Moreno broke through, making the score 4 - 1 for SilverMoon. Venados were desperate to get a goal back and pushed forward through the middle 79 minutes into the game. After a scramble in the box, the ball dropped to E. Rodríguez, who smashed it home to make the score 4 - 2. The home side's S. Ruiz came close to extending the lead 81 minutes into the game. His shot came in from the right hand side but A. Cronhall managed to save it with an unbelievable reaction stop. Possession was split evenly between the teams.

SilverMoon's best player was J. Moreno. M. Frassanito was a disappointment, however. Most important Venados player was F. Toledo. A. Mattei turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 4 - 2.
