Nette was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 32 minutes. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave R. O'Sullivan from Wirpool a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 36 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Due to a severely mistimed tackle, O. Attacking on the wings was the choice for Wirpool, and they were successfully passing the ball from the middle to the wings to attack. Wirpool put themselves up 6 - 0 when D. Altman broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. Confident in their lead, Wirpool's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it.
