Dark skies made the crowd of 55487 at Tallahassee Bog a little nervous, but the rain held off. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it! Coming in on the left, R. Cicetti did everything right to get a goal for Fairfield after 26 minutes, but his finishing shot was stabbed clear by the keeper. The referee showed Kiasu's R. Alderman the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. The teams went for the halftime break at 3 - 0. Kiasu enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 53 percent of possession.

Kiasu put themselves up 4 - 0 when I. Roche broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Kiasu lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. T. Silver of Fairfield received a yellow card after 67 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. R. Alderman unleashed a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide. Fairfield needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 74 minutes B. McClure made way for V. Galaev. The crowd roared its approval when T. Fall somehow managed to block a shot which seemed to be a certain goal by Fairfield's D. Munson 87 minutes into the game. Fairfield had a fair chance to reply after 89 minutes due to some fine moves down the left, but in the end A. Allen-Gao was slow to keep up with the play and was unable to make it into the penalty box to apply a finish. 89 minutes in, Fairfield's G. Rufino received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. 89 minutes into the game, A. Groves had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came C. Long. Kiasu claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 61 percent.

Kiasu's top performer was clearly K. Rasmussen. I. Roche was a disappointment, however. Most important Fairfield player was D. Munson. On the other hand, C. Long's play was disheartening. The match ends 4 - 0.
