Clouds darkened the skies at Pretty Bird Arena as 52819 spectators turned up for the match. Dreas Coghe was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Dakis Tsouros and Svein Hylland. Demolishers decided to use a 2-5-3 set up. The following players took the field: Zankov - Schöfer, Decroos - Vâja, Lucchi, Brandstetter, Arsić, Chaves - Bouzada, Nieminen, Kunyun.

A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Blacksquid. They fielded: McCarter - Fields, Pedersen, Bobo - Sprague, Prado, Bruce, Walls, Arellano - Tobón, Trujillo.

After 2 minutes a well-practised indirect free kick routine by Blacksquid was easily anticipated by the defenders. The players forward were so well marked, they were left with few viable options. D. Schöfer caused the crowd to go mental with his goal up the middle after 4 minutes. This gave Demolishers the 1 - 0 lead. R. Prado of Blacksquid was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. Demolishers's M. Nieminen increased the lead to 2 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 8 minutes. Cheers filled the stadium as M. Nieminen broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 3 - 0 to Demolishers. Confident in their lead, Demolishers's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. Z. Fogt was called on to replace Blacksquid's A. Pedersen after 15 minutes following a nasty collision. N. Bouzada made a nice dash down the wing after 24 minutes, but was unable to get the cross into the box. A goal kick was awarded. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Demolishers's N. Bouzada increasing the lead to 4 - 0. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. N. Bouzada squirmed through their central defence after 40 minutes, increasing the lead to 5 - 0. The teams went for the halftime break at 5 - 0. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Demolishers, with 63 percent of the ball.

Coming from the right, R. Arsić almost managed to score another goal for Demolishers, but his header was tipped over the bar by the visitors' keeper. After 71 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by N. Bouzada might have resulted in another goal for Demolishers. However, K. McCarter made a spectacular save. After 82 minutes, N. Bouzada put Demolishers ahead 6 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. At that, N. Bouzada was noted down for a hat trick! After 84 minutes O. Vâja made a speedy advance and dropped the ball to N. Bouzada who shuffled it past the keeper. The score was now 7 - 0. R. Arsić could have increased the lead after 85 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park. With 86 minutes showing on the scoreboard clock, Blacksquid showed some good skill and were able to reduce the score to 7 - 1 when J. Walls got past the home side's central defenders right in front of the goal. Possession in this half belonged to Demolishers, who controlled the ball 62 percent of the time.

The most dominating Demolishers player was without a doubt N. Bouzada. O. Vâja turned in a dismal performance, however. Most important Blacksquid player was T. Trujillo. S. Arellano was a disappointment, however. The match ends 7 - 1.
