Clouds darkened the skies at
Giant Woodpeckers Arena as 12000 spectators turned up for the match.
Sverre Hesselballe was the appointed referee with assistance provided by

Didier Kraaijeveld.
Woodpeckers started off with a 4-4-2 lineup.

Chacaritale's
F. Linno gave the visitors a 0 - 1 lead after 13 minutes with a superb strike from the right.
With 30 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed
E. Dovidaitis of Chacaritale to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 0 - 2.
The home crowd was not impressed when
B. Dziekan came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 31 minutes. Chacaritale were now up 0 - 3.
J. Fernández behaved like an inexperienced youth player after 35 minutes as he gave the ball away to
W. Irastorza. Lucky for him though, there was no goal.
A drive down the left side allowed
W. Irastorza to get in close and score another goal for Chacaritale after 36 minutes, taking the score to 0 - 4.
The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 4.

After 71 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for
A. Fernur who increased Chacaritale's lead to 0 - 5.
Confident in their lead, Chacaritale's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it.

W. Bryjak received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 75 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 8. The Chacaritale fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early.
Chacaritale had most of the ball, with 85 percent of possession.
The most dominating Woodpeckers player was without a doubt
K. Chakasum.
However,
B. Hawes made a disastrous appearance.
