Leathern decided to play creatively.
The home side put themselves ahead 1 - 0 after 12 minutes courtesy of a breakthrough from
E. Oťahal, who scored with a stunning volley following a cross from the right wing.
With 32 minutes played,
F. Fontanive could have brought this one home for Leathern as he charged up on the left, but his hooked ball went just a bit too high.
After 37 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by
E. Oťahal might have resulted in another goal for Leathern. However,
D. Lawson made a spectacular save.

Leathern enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 54 percent of possession.
With 51 minutes played, Leathern's
F. Fontanive almost extended the lead, but his shot from the left glanced off the top of the bar to fall behind the net.
With 65 minutes gone, Leathern had a free kick in a decent position. Despite this being a great chance for a shot, they tried a cheeky move intended to bypass the defence. However,
R. Jensen did not manage to connect with it cleanly and the ball went out.
F. Fontanive was ever so close to scoring after an excellent corner was beautifully flicked on by
J. Braun, but the ball bounced off the post to safety.
A great save by keeper
D. Lawson after 68 minutes kept the visitors in the game after
R. Jensen struck from the left with a real cannonball.
J. Gardiner made a run for the goal 77 minutes into the game but the home team's left back managed to sort the situation out in the end.
After 78 minutes Leathern tried to exploit their counterattacking skills, unfortunately,
N. Grappi's shot sailed wide after his break down the right.
Possession in this half belonged to Leathern, who controlled the ball 55 percent of the time.
Most important Leathern player was
A. Sokolenko.
J. Braun was a disappointment, however.
Uni-corns's best player was
D. Lawson.
However,
C. Mark made a disastrous appearance.
