It seemed as though viresi considered the game won before even taking the field, which resulted in a very uninspired start to the game.

A. Alexandre made his way through the middle and nonchalantly placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 0 - 1.
After 14 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave
A. Alexandre a chance to increase the lead for viresi, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 2.
By now, the players in viresi felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward.
M. Toh increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 3.
T. Kanervala received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 20 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 4. The viresi fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early.
It was obvious that viresi had instructions to attack on the wings instead of in the middle.

I. Galun made it through the home team's defence on the right hand side 28 minutes into the match. After rounding the keeper, he only had to place the ball in the unguarded goal when a defender slid in and cleared the ball off the line.
Barebottom's
A. Simons was shown a yellow card after 31 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 4.
viresi had most of the ball, with 71 percent of possession.
viresi increased their lead after 53 minutes when
F. Pataki broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 5, much to the home crowd's dismay.
A. Alexandre of viresi took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 63 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 6.

The home crowd was not impressed when
T. Escobar came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 77 minutes. viresi were now up 0 - 7.
Barebottom's
J. Cabrera left the field after 84 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was

After 86 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for
E. Andersson who increased viresi's lead to 0 - 8.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by viresi, with 80 percent of the ball.
A. Simons performed admirably for Barebottom.
W. Yeager turned in a dismal performance, however.
