Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 12000 to
Tae Kwon Do.
Hermann Kleve was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Patrik Adolfsson and
Pim Kruijs.
cristina had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation.
Lineup: 靖圣 (Jingsheng) - Tarrillo, Villanova, Anchante, Guzmán - Pflucker, Helguero, Malo, Montedoro - Ayquipa, 祖才 (Zucai).
Maestros started off with a 5-4-1 lineup.
They fielded: Hâncu - Vroegindeweij, Pez, Shardin, Roach, Jaramillo - Ruiz Mejía, Ferrando, Cruzado, Guizazola - Apitius.
Maestros were relying on their ability to counter-attack.
With 13 minutes played,
V. Shardin of Maestros fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving.
Maestros had several good opportunities to take the lead, especially 20 minutes in when
J. Ferrando came up alone against
罗. 靖圣 (Jingsheng) who managed a block.
The guests took the lead 22 minutes into the match, after a right-side attack resulted in
L. Jaramillo scoring to make it 0 - 1.
With 22 minutes played, Maestros put themselves up 0 - 2 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was
E. Guizazola.
By now, the players in Maestros felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward.
L. Malo of cristina was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle.
V. Shardin was, after 29 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but the home side's keeper
罗. 靖圣 (Jingsheng) made the save.
With 35 minutes played, seemingly due to lack of experience,
C. Roach needlessly tripped an opponent just outside the penalty area, but the free kick that followed didn't succeed.
0 - 2 was the score after the first half.
Maestros had most of the ball, with 78 percent of possession.
E. Guizazola received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 54 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 3. The Maestros fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early.
Maestros's
E. Guizazola made it through the home team's defence on the right hand side 55 minutes into the match. After rounding the keeper, he only had to place the ball in the unguarded goal when a defender slid in and cleared the ball off the line.
cristina's
C. Helguero left the field after 56 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was
J. Amaya.
N. Pflucker became the new cristina captain.
cristina made it 1 - 3 as
T. Anchante got a touch to the floated corner kick and flicked the ball to
O. Guzmán who whipped a low drive in off the far post.
58 minutes into the match,
G. Pez came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide.
The home crowd cheered when, after 70 minutes,
P. Ruiz Mejía's charge up the middle resulted in the keeper making one of his best saves of the day.
E. Riveros was called on to replace cristina's
O. Guzmán after 72 minutes following a nasty collision.
The home crowd was not impressed when
A. Cruzado came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 73 minutes. Maestros were now up 1 - 4.
Maestros had to make a substitution after 79 minutes.
P. Ruiz Mejía limped off the field and was replaced by
C. Gasbarro.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Maestros, with 69 percent of the ball.
J. Amaya performed admirably for cristina.
罗. 靖圣 (Jingsheng) was a disappointment, however.
Most important Maestros player was
G. Pez.
C. Gasbarro turned in a dismal performance, however.
The match ends 1 - 4.
