The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 480 had shown up at InterChampions Stadium for the match. InterChampions were mostly trying to use their skill at attacking on the flanks. A questionable penalty 7 minutes in gave the home side the lead, 1 - 0. The visitors' goalie didn't stand a chance as G. Medoro knocked the ball home. 27 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as G. Mancinelli broke through, making the score 2 - 0 for InterChampions. Aquile's M. Carenzi showed his experience after 30 minutes, as he expertly set himself up to take advantage of a rebound off the crossbar, but his shot was tipped harmlessly out of the way. G. Biazzi should probably have put his team up another goal after 32 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by R. Di Sciorio kept the visitors in the game. Aquile reduced the lead after 38 minutes to 2 - 1 as M. Carenzi easily chipped the ball past the home side's keeper after a dazzling play from the right. With 40 minutes played, InterChampions put themselves up 3 - 1 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to B. Soriano, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. With 43 minutes showing on the scoreboard clock, Aquile showed some good skill and were able to reduce the score to 3 - 2 when M. Carenzi got past the home side's central defenders right in front of the goal. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. M. Peraldo squirmed through their central defence after 43 minutes, increasing the lead to 4 - 2. Halftime score was 4 - 2. InterChampions had most of the ball, with 58 percent of possession.

G. Mancinelli could have increased the lead after 50 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park. It was obvious that InterChampions had instructions to attack on the wings instead of in the middle. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of InterChampions to 5 - 2 as F. Dillinger finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. At this point, it was obvious that the players of InterChampions lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. InterChampions were determined to attack on the wing and their central attempts were constantly abandoned in favour of the wings. 68 minutes in, Aquile's M. Carenzi received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. The player down was G. Mancinelli. The InterChampions bench looked worried for a while, but in the end he managed to get up. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by InterChampions, with 57 percent of the ball.

InterChampions's best player was B. Soriano. On the other hand, G. Di Gennaro's play was disheartening. The most dominating Aquile player was without a doubt G. Livi. M. Campos turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 5 - 2.
