(392323708)

19-06-2012 18.00
Due to an all-day shower, 15430 paying spectators got to see a match on a pitch-turned-bog at
Auf´m Zuckerhut.
Oliver Kusk was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Jan Hjelle and
Lave Fredriksson.
A 5-2-3 alignment was the formation of choice for BCH.
Starters: Suh - Misiedjan, Hague, McGrath, Farfán, Franceschi - Darwish, Pinto - Rattananai, Shirazisiddiq, Gaurinskas.
Rinteln decided to use a 4-4-2 set up.
The following players took the field: Holland - Scheu, Fagerquist, Orozco, Zdziennicki - Uray, Verspaille, Martin, Pleskot - Buchmayer, Vered.
Using their counter-attacking abilities was the strategy of choice for BCH.
4 minutes in, BCH's
G. Gaurinskas received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
Making his way up the middle 15 minutes into the match,
P. Rattananai almost managed to squeeze a goal past the visitors' keeper, but the alert
C. Holland blocked it to keep the score level.
T. Fagerquist gave the visitors the lead 33 minutes into the match to make it 0 - 1. The goal was scored from the penalty spot after a handball in the penalty area.
With 34 minutes played,
V. Farfán of BCH fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving.
The rain made it hard for players like
R. Vered to show their technical control of the ball on this soggy day.
After 35 minutes of game time,
R. Buchmayer had an excellent opportunity to add to the visitors' lead, clipping a volley hooked in from the right, but
J. Suh was in the right place and tipped the ball over for a corner.
Rinteln's
T. Fagerquist left the field after 36 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was
M. Naasner.
0 - 1 was the score after the first half.
Rinteln claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 53 percent.
After 61 minutes,
Q. Shirazisiddiq sent the corner kick right to
N. Pinto who headed it sharply past the keeper. 1 - 1!
With 62 minutes played, the visitors broke through on the right after some poor defending.
S. Pleskot put the ball away for 1 - 2.
Some fine passing in the middle of the pitch, carving open the away defence, should have led to a goal for BCH, but
P. Rattananai's shot went over the bar.
Rinteln had most of the ball, with 57 percent of possession.
The most dominating BCH player was without a doubt
Q. Shirazisiddiq.
L. Franceschi on the other hand, had a terrible day.
R. Buchmayer performed admirably for Rinteln.
R. Vered turned in a dismal performance, however.
The match ends 1 - 2.
