Clear skies welcomed the 28541 spectators who had made their way to Four Sticks Stadium. Jussi Ahtola was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Gavin Cumberland and Jonas Vinblom. 4Sticks decided to use a 5-2-3 set up. They fielded: Alaj - Alippi, Lo Bartolo, Pomianek, Pawlicki, Noam - Akusba, Piva - Spignoli, Ghidoni, Weickartehain.

A 5-3-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Kitikak@. Starters: Furini - Robles Sánchez, Maisano, Bonfante, Galetta, Bruscolotti - Rangelov, Noblett, Dashovski - Lahrman, Brichetto.

For their match strategy, 4Sticks had decided to use their ability to counter-attack whenever possible. With 16 minutes gone, G. Bruscolotti suddenly found himself completely free on the right wing when a counterattack by Kitikak@ caught their opponents by surprise. Only a great save by the opposing keeper prevented him from scoring. 4Sticks were pushed back, and had many dangerous counterattacks. An impressive one came 30 minutes into the match, but G. Spignoli narrowly missed the free kick attempt that was awarded as a result of a foul. The corner kick from G. Spignoli was powerfully met by the head of F. Ghidoni to make the score 1 - 0. P. Akusba unleashed a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide. With 42 minutes gone, a long pass from the defence of 4Sticks resulted in a counterattack that set F. Ghidoni free through the middle, but the keeper made a spectacular diving save. M. Pawlicki behaved like an inexperienced youth player after 43 minutes as he gave the ball away to B. Lahrman. Lucky for him though, there was no goal. Halftime score was 1 - 0. Kitikak@ had most of the ball, with 58 percent of possession.

Content with how the game was proceeding, the 4Sticks coach let M. Venturin replace I. Noam after 70 minutes. After 71 minutes, 4Sticks began to show their lack of experience and they threatened to wilt under the heavy pressure from their opposition. Kitikak@ enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 59 percent of possession.

4Sticks's best player was V. Alaj. M. Venturin on the other hand, had a terrible day. Kitikak@'s top performer was clearly A. Dashovski. A. Galetta turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 1 - 0.
