26000 spectators had come to
Benghazi this cloudy day.
Ahto Lepist was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Jonas Buikstra and
David Ibarra.
People from all over
Bishkek had joined up for the derby.
A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Revolution.
Lineup: Milanesio - Anzelc, Toktogulov, Malikov, Lundstad - Tairov, Zulpukar Uulu, Pereira, Norrholt - Swinnen, Sayak Uulu.
ALAY decided to use a 3-5-2 set up.
The following players had been chosen: Jaudagis - Tegner, Faoro, Romani - Guglielmo, Valmaseda, Petitpas, Schären, Kadyr Uulu - Cantoni, Dovgalev.
ALAY clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle.
The home crowd was not impressed by the fancy moves of ALAY's
G. Petitpas after 2 minutes. He converted a pass from the left for a goal, resulting in the visitors taking the 0 - 1 lead.
7 minutes into the match,
F. Valmaseda came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide.
14 minutes into the match ALAY's
A. Dovgalev head butted an opponent nastily, and so the referee sent him off immediately.
D. Milanesio kept the home side in the game with a magnificent save when
D. Kadyr Uulu delivered an almost perfect free kick to the far post.
K. Tairov of Revolution received a yellow card after 24 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour.
A defender managed to keep the ball from crossing the goal-line after a curling shot coming in from the right from
P. Tegner after 26 minutes, and prevented ALAY from going up another goal.
R. Schären really should have scored when he was chosen by fate to confront a wide open goal following a great play by
F. Valmaseda after a corner.
With 32 minutes played,
A. Norrholt of Revolution fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving.
0 - 1 was the halftime score.
ALAY claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 73 percent.
ALAY's
G. Faoro made it through the home team's defence on the right hand side 55 minutes into the match. After rounding the keeper, he only had to place the ball in the unguarded goal when a defender slid in and cleared the ball off the line.
R. Schären of ALAY took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 60 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 2.
ALAY increased their lead after 71 minutes when
G. Petitpas broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 3, much to the home crowd's dismay.
After this, you could see that the players of ALAY were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals.
F. Guglielmo of ALAY was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle.
80 minutes into the game,
C. Lundstad had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came
O. Pukanych.
Revolution's

With 84 minutes played, ALAY put themselves up 0 - 4 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was
F. Guglielmo.
ALAY had most of the ball, with 78 percent of possession.
Revolution's best player was
J. Swinnen.
On the other hand,
A. Norrholt's play was disheartening.
G. Petitpas performed admirably for ALAY.
However,
D. Kadyr Uulu made a disastrous appearance.
The match ends 0 - 4.
