Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 27881 to Hálószaggató Sport Arena. Eugenio Feliu was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Dario Russett and Pekka Rahkonen. De Turck's shot rebounded off the post. After 39 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by E. László might have resulted in another goal for Hálószaggató. However, R. Canou made a spectacular save. An equalising goal seemed certain after 40 minutes when L. Scippa attacked down the left wing, but G. Pál just managed to make a save to keep the ball out of the net. Hálószaggató had to make a substitution after 43 minutes. Z. Čiča limped off the field and was replaced by L. Bosklopper. It was 1 - 0 at the break. Hálószaggató claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 61 percent.

With 50 minutes played, 良. 遠藤 (Endo) of Gyertyaláng fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. With 61 minutes played, Hálószaggató put themselves up 2 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to L. De Turck, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. The players of Hálószaggató now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. 65 minutes into the match, the technically gifted L. Bosklopper of Hálószaggató scored 3 - 0, having made 良. 遠藤 (Endo) look like a complete fool. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Hálószaggató, with 60 percent of the ball.

Hálószaggató's best player was L. Halász. G. Pál turned in a dismal performance, however. Most important Gyertyaláng player was G. Koryak. B. Kitzler on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 3 - 0.
