Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 19253 at Cetatea Capalna today. Borna Palcic was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Linus Vinblad and Maor Shefer. capilna decided to use a 3-4-3 set up. Starters: Vadillo - Soroka, Mauntz, Niebryk - Page, Fuchs, Bobrzyk, Predoi - Kis, Paşcu, Siciński.

A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for BLONDINA. The following players took the field: Shamin - Švihlík, Esteban, Bernat - Helstad, Rimppi, Greblo, Kompaschken, Rački - Läfvenquist, Roponen.

Making his way up the middle 5 minutes into the match, A. Page almost managed to squeeze a goal past the visitors' keeper, but the alert V. Shamin blocked it to keep the score level. The guests took the lead 22 minutes into the match, after a right-side attack resulted in G. Greblo scoring to make it 0 - 1. M. Rački received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 27 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 2. The BLONDINA fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. After 32 minutes of game time, J. Esteban had an excellent opportunity to add to the visitors' lead, clipping a volley hooked in from the right, but J. Vadillo was in the right place and tipped the ball over for a corner. At 35 minutes into the game, capilna's D. Paşcu deftly knocked the ball home after an impressive run down the left, reducing the visitors' lead to 1 - 2. It was 1 - 2 at the break. BLONDINA enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 70 percent of possession.

After the ball was lifted in from the left, M. Rački was on his own in the home side's penalty area and should have scored after 48 minutes, but missed, probably due to lack of concentration. 69 minutes into the match, BLONDINA's T. Helstad popped up from nowhere, cheekily stole the ball off an opposition player and scored. 1 - 3. With the scoreboard showing that 71 minutes had been played, BLONDINA nearly put themselves up another goal after O. Švihlík came through on the left. Fortunately for the home crowd, the keeper made the save. A drive down the left side allowed T. Helstad to get in close and score another goal for BLONDINA after 77 minutes, taking the score to 1 - 4. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave O. Švihlík from BLONDINA a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 78 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! With 79 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed J. Esteban of BLONDINA to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 1 - 5. At this point, it was obvious that the players of BLONDINA lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. BLONDINA's G. Greblo made it through the home team's defence on the right hand side 80 minutes into the match. After rounding the keeper, he only had to place the ball in the unguarded goal when a defender slid in and cleared the ball off the line. D. Paşcu of capilna received a yellow card after 81 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. After 85 minutes BLONDINA's V. Shamin limped slightly after a late challenge, but he was able to continue. BLONDINA had most of the ball, with 73 percent of possession.

capilna's best player was J. Vadillo. G. Niebryk turned in a dismal performance, however. BLONDINA's top performer was clearly M. Kompaschken. V. Shamin on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 1 - 5.
