Clear skies welcomed the 22104 spectators who had made their way to Municipal. Sander Delaet was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Rainer Kraner and Konrad Liechti. It was an obvious ambition of Diamantul to use their ability at attacking on the flanks. Today, Barcelona's strategy involved concentrating on the flanks for their attacks. After 14 minutes, Barcelona put themselves up 0 - 1, as A. Forrest finished off a strike from the left with a real cannonball of a shot. The visitors' A. Forrest took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 23 minutes into the match. 0 - 2 for Barcelona. Diamantul's B. Eribe refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon after 24 minutes. After 30 minutes, Barcelona's A. Forrest burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 3. At that, A. Forrest was noted down for a hat trick! Confident in their lead, Barcelona's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. After 33 minutes, Diamantul's V. Neira fell awkwardly, but was determined to stay in the match. That's the spirit! A. Forrest was, after 37 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but the home side's keeper W. Gobert made the save. 0 - 3 was the score after the first half. Possession in this half belonged to Barcelona, who controlled the ball 53 percent of the time.

The visitors added to their lead 47 minutes into the game, after a sensational penalty kick by Barcelona's N. Garcia slid just past the home keeper. 0 - 4. The home crowd cheered when, after 49 minutes, A. Forrest's charge up the middle resulted in the keeper making one of his best saves of the day. A drive down the left side allowed I. Chlapoutakis to get in close and score another goal for Barcelona after 51 minutes, taking the score to 0 - 5. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Diamantul's T. Magosi was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 70 minutes. H. Poulsen was given a chance to change things around. Neither team were able to dominate possession this half.

Diamantul's top performer was clearly R. Johanneskirche. However, W. Gobert made a disastrous appearance. Barcelona's best player was G. Kakuk. J. Camps turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 0 - 5.
