A scorching day at Brönner Arena, where 18995 spectators were in place for today's match. Fernando Vega was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Rikus Verdonk and Per Vinterell. After 73 minutes K. Franzetti made a speedy advance and dropped the ball to R. Neoral who shuffled it past the keeper. The score was now 2 - 1. The GäubSchwarz players could smell victory in the air. T. Huuki wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for D. Ebnöther after 75 minutes. K. Kenzelmann was called on to replace Armenia's P. Gunder after 76 minutes following a nasty collision. With 81 minutes played, GäubSchwarz's M. Zielonka almost extended the lead, but his shot from the left glanced off the top of the bar to fall behind the net. Cheers filled the stadium as K. Franzetti broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 3 - 1 to GäubSchwarz. B. Poulat should probably have put his team up another goal after 83 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by M. Silvering kept the visitors in the game. After 84 minutes Armenia tried to exploit their counterattacking skills, unfortunately, N. Karahan's shot sailed wide after his break down the right. Armenia enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 51 percent of possession.

Most important GäubSchwarz player was R. Neoral. R. Postelnicu was a disappointment, however. Armenia's best player was N. Renaut. On the other hand, M. Silvering's play was disheartening. The match ends 3 - 1.
