Clouds darkened the skies at
Hardturm as 30996 spectators turned up for the match.

M. Esaure had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 34 minutes having been played.

Due to some great work on the right wing GCZ's

Bern's
P. Joster was shown a yellow card after 40 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
M. Bielesz of GCZ had to be helped off the pitch as an injury meant he was unable to finish the game.

Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Bern, with 64 percent of the ball.
Bern had several good opportunities to take the lead, especially 71 minutes in when
E. Warpelin came up alone against
M. Mammoliti who managed a block.
P. Recabal would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise.
O. Martin entered the game for GCZ as the match clock showed 72 minutes.
Bern took the lead 74 minutes into the game, making the score 1 - 2 after some elegant movement down the middle.
A. Cordonet was the scorer.

R. Walthert nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar.
With their counter attack move halted 81 minutes into the game, GCZ were left with a free kick. The ball is passed straight through to the other end of the penalty area, with hopes for it to reach
O. Martin. However, he didn't have his wits about him and the ball went out.
We may never know what
A. Vilain was thinking when he tried to pass the ball through a crowd of opponents. Luckily for him, Bern's
R. Walthert somehow missed the wide open net.
Bern claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 62 percent.
C. Gertig performed admirably for GCZ.
On the other hand,
M. Kędracki's play was disheartening.
Bern's best player was

R. Renmar on the other hand, had a terrible day.
