previous 3/10 next 5/10  Atleti 1 - 4 Baricoque (392420906)

17520 spectators had come to Imperio Ultra this cloudy day. Felix Joshua Kraller was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Jędrzej Żyrski and Bo Swart. A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Atleti. Lineup: Gremberhoven - Dumitrescu, Bruyn, Company, Girelli - Esnaola, Gustorf, Acuña, Ferrán Martínez - Pérez Jiménez, Millán.

Baricoque had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. The following players took the field: Rocchia - Trevijano, González de Jate, Panadeiros - Cairo, Landino, Blay, Prislopan, Vilela - Desperes, Rubio de Tejada.

Baricoque were mostly trying to use their skill at attacking on the flanks. Almost all the way down to the corner flag, Atleti's R. Ferrán Martínez somehow managed to get a perfect pass into the middle, impossible to miss for A. Pérez Jiménez, who struck for 1 - 0. The crowd was silenced 18 minutes into the match as the visiting team's E. Rubio de Tejada came in from the left, levelling the score to 1 - 1. Baricoque had to make a substitution after 19 minutes. D. González de Jate limped off the field and was replaced by P. Clopés. D. Desperes of Baricoque seemed to be floating in the air as he elegantly headed in to make the score 1 - 2 after a corner kick that was nicely executed by F. Blay. As the game started to slip away for Atleti, the manager decided to change the tactical approach. 41 minutes in, Atleti's F. Company received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. 1 - 2 was the score after the first half. Baricoque enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 57 percent of possession.

47 minutes into the game, Baricoque worked the left side industriously creating several opportunities to add to their lead, but just couldn't apply the finishing touch. Atleti's A. Pérez Jiménez made a successful breakthrough on the left after 51 minutes and should have levelled the score, but instead he clipped it over the bar. With 68 minutes played, Baricoque put themselves up 1 - 3 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was M. Prislopan. The Baricoque players could smell victory in the air. I. Landino wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for G. Valdeón after 68 minutes. A drive down the left side allowed T. Cairo to get in close and score another goal for Baricoque after 83 minutes, taking the score to 1 - 4. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Baricoque, with 55 percent of the ball.

Most important Atleti player was A. Pérez Jiménez. However, F. Company made a disastrous appearance. Baricoque's top performer was clearly F. Blay. D. Desperes turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 1 - 4.
