With 35 minutes showing on the scoreboard, Redbull had a chance to take the lead after being awarded a penalty, but B. Sanches's shot was blocked by J. Serrano. After a fine move down the middle A. Guimera nearly gave the home side a goal after 41 minutes. However the finishing shot went just wide. G. Mateos of Alcachofas was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. A. Guimera caused the crowd to go mental with his goal up the middle after 43 minutes. This gave Redbull the 1 - 0 lead. The crowd was silenced 43 minutes into the match as the visiting team's V. Loisel came in from the left, levelling the score to 1 - 1. 1 - 1 was the halftime score. Redbull claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 54 percent.

A questionable penalty 47 minutes in gave the home side the lead, 2 - 1. The visitors' goalie didn't stand a chance as B. Sanches knocked the ball home. After 65 minutes of play, the free-spirited M. Trads decided to go for goal as he struck the ball from the corner of the pitch. The ball hit a defender in the face and bounced out of play. The visitors kept the pressure on to tie the game when, after 66 minutes, J. Girau broke through the centre and found himself alone with the keeper. A. Dulce made a great block, though. Alcachofas needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 69 minutes M. Trads made way for A. Kausen. With 70 minutes played, the Alcachofas coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. O. Prats came on, J. Romero Velasco had to leave the fray. Redbull solidified their lead at the 70 minute mark, as F. Welver dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 3 - 1. The players of Redbull now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Alcachofas's C. Bellec was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 71 minutes. G. Mirabelli was given a chance to change things around. The Alcachofas coach was desperate to reverse his team's fortunes in the game, and ordered his team to change strategy. Unhappy with the result so far in the game, the Alcachofas manager used a brief break in play after 75 minutes to give the players new directives. B. Sanches almost put Redbull ahead another goal when he curled a free kick over the defensive wall and almost into the net, but the visitors' keeper got there just in time to knock it wide. Possession in this half belonged to Redbull, who controlled the ball 56 percent of the time.

Redbull's best player was F. Welver. B. Sanches on the other hand, had a terrible day. Most important Alcachofas player was J. Girau. G. Mirabelli turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 3 - 1.
