Dark skies made the crowd of 13456 at arena a little nervous, but the rain held off. P. Van Hecke's early cross saw the defenders caught out of position and the alert K. Ninitte was able to pounce and roll the ball past the hapless goalkeeper to score for eva. 0 - 1. 14 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 2 as H. Eyckerman finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. With the scoreboard showing that 15 minutes had been played, eva nearly put themselves up another goal after L. Medori came through on the left. Fortunately for the home crowd, the keeper made the save. I. Mariátegui sailed high above the opponents as he headed in a corner kick from M. Tihauser after 40 minutes of play, making the score 1 - 2. Some fine movement on the left led to a eva goal after 41 minutes, making it 1 - 3. K. Ninitte was noted down as the scorer. The visitors' M. Debunne took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 42 minutes into the match. 1 - 4 for eva. A. Pando kept the home side in the game with a magnificent save when E. Colbert delivered an almost perfect free kick to the far post. 1 - 4 was the score after the first half. Possession in this half belonged to eva, who controlled the ball 63 percent of the time.

E. Forti increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 1 - 5. After this, you could see that the players of eva were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. M. Debunne received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 68 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 1 - 6. The eva fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. 69 minutes into the game, eva seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a inadequate level of organisation. J. Van Hemelryck hit the corner kick straight to the keeper, but it was mishandled, giving djgekko's A. Focant an easy chance to knock it in for 2 - 6. A. Pando got a fingertip on L. Medori's shot from the left 82 minutes in, and managed to keep the visitors from going up another goal. djgekko's M. Tihauser was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 84 minutes. After 86 minutes, djgekko's J. Nus fell awkwardly, but was determined to stay in the match. That's the spirit! The referee signalled a penalty 87 minutes into the game following an offence which looked like it was outside the box. E. Colbert knocked it home to make the score 2 - 7. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by eva, with 57 percent of the ball.

Most important djgekko player was H. Abri. C. Laporte turned in a dismal performance, however. The most dominating eva player was without a doubt P. Van Hecke. However, S. Salvoni made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 2 - 7.
