20000 spectators had come to Vinea Park this cloudy day. Pablo Sevilla was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Davide Lo Giudice and Jerry Leijonstad. A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Vinea. The following players had been chosen: Abadexo - Siegl, Pail, Kaajapuro - Doležel, Švamberk, Cihaner, Kašpárek, Pipała - Pietiläinen, Vanderstraeten.

Prague started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. Lineup: Kapoun - Trbušek, Al-Hussain, Plachý - Komůrka, Helán, Hodek, Matějec, Vodehnal - Stepaniuk, Sheehy.

Vinea used their ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings. Prague demonstrated their creative tactics on the field. Prague took the lead 31 minutes into the game, making the score 0 - 1 after some elegant movement down the middle. M. Plachý was the scorer. The head of B. Komůrka connected with a corner kick after 33 minutes, and the ball ended up with M. Matějec of Prague who blasted the ball into the net, making the score 0 - 2. The players of Prague now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. Vinea didn't give in and with 34 minutes played T. Pail was able to make the score 1 - 2 after an attack on the right. The corner kick from M. Vodehnal was powerfully met by the head of D. Stepaniuk to make the score 1 - 3. With 39 minutes played, the excellent ball from the wing by Prague's M. Vodehnal reached D. Stepaniuk's head, and he is not one to miss such an opportunity - 1 - 4. M. Al-Hussain of Prague took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 40 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 1 - 5. V. Cihaner behaved like an inexperienced youth player after 41 minutes as he gave the ball away to Z. Hodek. Lucky for him though, there was no goal. With 42 minutes played, B. Kašpárek was very close to reducing the score for Vinea with a low drive from the left, but a defender stuck his foot out just in the nick of time, blocking the shot to a corner. A defender managed to keep the ball from crossing the goal-line after a curling shot coming in from the right from M. Al-Hussain after 43 minutes, and prevented Prague from going up another goal. It was 1 - 5 at the break. Prague claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 57 percent.

The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave V. Trbušek from Prague a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 58 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Vinea were determined to attack in the middle, even their wing attacks ended up centrally. After 65 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed D. Stepaniuk to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 1 - 6. At that, D. Stepaniuk was noted down for a hat trick! With 73 minutes gone, Prague had a free kick in a decent position. Despite this being a great chance for a shot, they tried a cheeky move intended to bypass the defence. However, D. Stepaniuk did not manage to connect with it cleanly and the ball went out. With 78 minutes played, M. Helán nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar. Possession in this half belonged to Prague, who controlled the ball 58 percent of the time.

The most dominating Vinea player was without a doubt M. Pietiläinen. R. Kaajapuro turned in a dismal performance, however. Most important Prague player was D. Stepaniuk. However, B. Komůrka made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 1 - 6.
