Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 32943 at Juliska today. Anton Holverda was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Alberto Borrello and Richard Sivertsen. People from all over Moravskoslezský kraj had joined up for the derby. Dukla decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. Many thought L. Méndez Seco ought to have been awarded a penalty 38 minutes into the game, as he went down trying to dribble around B. Michal after a determined run through the middle. Having been awarded a free kick in an awkward position after 39 minutes, Dukla did not go for a shot but instead fired the ball hard into the 6 yard box. After a brief tussle with his marker, M. Otten was able to power the ball past the keeper to make the score 1 - 0. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 0. Dukla enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 57 percent of possession.

50 minutes into the game, Dukla were awarded a penalty that J. Mäkinen turned into 2 - 0 without a problem. With 62 minutes played, V. Žatecký of MFCH fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. J. Mäkinen had a fantastic opportunity to put Dukla up another goal 63 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar. J. Mäkinen could have put Dukla up one more, but he fired into the side netting after breaking free on the left after 64 minutes. Dukla had most of the ball, with 59 percent of possession.

R. Grover performed admirably for Dukla. On the other hand, F. Cunha's play was disheartening. MFCH's top performer was clearly Š. Sopr. However, V. Žatecký made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 2 - 0.
