20-06-2012 15.15
It had rained all day, but 25203 hardy fans still made it out to
Olympium Stadium.
Giovanbattista Piscaglia was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Giuseppe Raffa and
Severiano Rebolledo.
A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Lahyene.
The following players took the field: Albores - Lecomte, Kalampoukas, Lhomme, Lhuillery - Engin, Buttitta, Sans, Courtois - Räbinä, Loury.
OISSEL SG decided to use a 3-5-2 set up.
Lineup: Cantais - Stougaard, Grzębski, Cazzaniga - Ñaupari, Lo cicero, Gobec, Adensamer, Mouthon - Delignières, Nunes Oliveira.
Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of Lahyene.
With the clock showing 19 minutes played, a great pass from the defensive line of Lahyene resulted in a counterattack that was smoothly brought under control by
Z. Lecomte in the centre of the opposition's penalty area, but his finish went high.
The muddy pitch made the game a gritty affair, which seemed to suit
L. Lhuillery just fine.
The terraces were silenced after 24 minutes when OISSEL SG's
C. Lo cicero put the guests ahead 0 - 1, following an attack on the right.
After 31 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Lahyene found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to
solid.
The boggy pitch disrupted the game, especially for technical players like
Z. Lecomte.
Z. Lecomte of Lahyene received a yellow card after 43 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour.
0 - 1 was the score after the first half.
OISSEL SG claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 55 percent.
The coach gave his players an extra tactical briefing during the break, and after that Lahyene had
solid organisation.
Lahyene needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 60 minutes
F. Loury made way for
G. Poulain.
OISSEL SG increased their lead after 60 minutes when
T. Stougaard broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 2, much to the home crowd's dismay.
A counterattack by Lahyene after 62 minutes could have resulted in a goal, but
A. Lhomme, coming in on the left, couldn't get the shot off.
63 minutes into the game, Lahyene seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to
solid.
With 66 minutes played, the Lahyene coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around.
J. Del Valle came on,
E. Engin had to leave the fray.
70 minutes in, Lahyene appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only
poor.
After 78 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed
A. Ñaupari to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 3.
80 minutes in, Lahyene's
A. Buttitta received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by OISSEL SG, with 58 percent of the ball.
G. Poulain performed admirably for Lahyene.
A. Kalampoukas turned in a dismal performance, however.
The most dominating OISSEL SG player was without a doubt
S. Nunes Oliveira.
M. Mouthon on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The match ends 0 - 3.
