It was an obvious ambition of United to use their ability at attacking on the flanks. The guests almost went up by a goal after 3 minutes when F. Delvalle came through and shot from the right. The ball bounced harmlessly off the post, though. The home crowd breathed a collective sigh of relief when A. Höhne was unable to put the ball in the net after his show of skill down the left 11 minutes into the match. He was seen beating the pitch in frustration at missing such a good chance to give his team the lead! 20 minutes into the game, A. Höhne had a great chance to put his team ahead, but his kick from the left went wide. D. Nitu looked great 28 minutes into the match after stopping a shot from the middle of the penalty area from the visitors' M. de Koff. Urædd's W. Danner got himself booked for a foul. N. Lampertheim of United had to be helped off the pitch as an injury meant he was unable to finish the game. S. Granolles came in to finish the match. Urædd had several good opportunities to take the lead, especially 31 minutes in when R. Deneş came up alone against D. Nitu who managed a block. United mounted an inspired counterattack down the right wing after 32 minutes, but S. Horigome was unable to convert from short range. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 0. Urædd claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 65 percent.

Urædd's F. Delvalle managed to lose the defenders as he advanced down the right wing and scored, putting the visitors ahead after 62 minutes. 0 - 1. United's counterattacks created a good chance for S. Sabău on the right after 80 minutes, but he could only look on with dismay as his strike rebounded off the crossbar. United's S. Mangado Pérez was shown a yellow card after 81 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Some fine movement on the left led to a Urædd goal after 82 minutes, making it 0 - 2. M. de Koff was noted down as the scorer. The players of Urædd now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. R. Deneş of Urædd seemed to be floating in the air as he elegantly headed in to make the score 0 - 3 after a corner kick that was nicely executed by A. Höhne. After 84 minutes, Urædd were awarded a free kick. Rather than shooting straight at goal, the taker went for an indirect variant which seemed to take his team mates a bit by surprise. R. Deneş did attempt a finish, but from an awkward position, sending the ball into the away fans. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Urædd, with 65 percent of the ball.

Most important United player was S. Sabău. On the other hand, S. Granolles's play was disheartening. A. Höhne performed admirably for Urædd. R. Deneş was a disappointment, however. The match ends 0 - 3.
