Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 26224 at R2D2 today. Richardt Donie was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Robert Kuhar and Michael Ehnflod. Idaboys tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. Starters: Blanco - Trujillo, Gennen, Devenijns - Pereira, Arrién, Piñal, Lipowczan, Becerra - Jiménez Orozco, Wambach.

evig decided to use a 4-5-1 set up. The following players took the field: Ekren - Kinnerup, Bråthen, Henriksen, Myhren - Algreen, Skinstad, Karlsen, Paulsrud, Fjellstad - Mortensholm.

Idaboys tried to focus their attacks down the middle. The wings were the focus of most of evig's attacks today. The visiting J. Paulsrud was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 4 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 0 - 1 was the score. evig's K. Henriksen got himself booked for a foul. evig were determined to attack on the wing and their central attempts were constantly abandoned in favour of the wings. With 7 minutes played, evig put themselves up 0 - 2 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was J. Myhren. 15 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 3 as J. Paulsrud finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. The players of evig now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. With 17 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed M. Karlsen of evig to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 0 - 4. 18 minutes into the game, evig worked the left side industriously creating several opportunities to add to their lead, but just couldn't apply the finishing touch. Halftime score was 0 - 4. evig claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 67 percent.

L. Piñal almost reduced the deficit, having drawn the entire left side defence away, but the shot went straight into the arms of the goalkeeper. After 60 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed K. Henriksen to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 5. Idaboys players heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their wing attacks to the middle instead. evig's M. Kinnerup had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 74 minutes having been played. R. Similä was the replacement. P. Mortensholm increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 6. evig's P. Mortensholm made it through the home team's defence on the right hand side 81 minutes into the match. After rounding the keeper, he only had to place the ball in the unguarded goal when a defender slid in and cleared the ball off the line. Attacking on the wings was the choice for evig, and they were successfully passing the ball from the middle to the wings to attack. P. Mortensholm of evig took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 86 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 7. evig had most of the ball, with 68 percent of possession.

D. Arrién performed admirably for Idaboys. L. Lipowczan on the other hand, had a terrible day. evig's top performer was clearly P. Mortensholm. J. Myhren turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 0 - 7.
