previous 6/10 next 8/10  FEYENOORD.WKS 2 - 0 Hebron (392472018)

20789 spectators arrived at WKS-Magdalenka, where weather conditions were pretty good for football. László Rigó was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Lars Svantorp and Romicã Andrei. FEYENOORD.WKS tactics involved an interesting 4-4-2 combination. The following players took the field: Bertozzi - Breuskin, Desogus, Hobi, Tress - Madaffari, Puleo, Norrhall, Östby - Souza Alves, Farina.

A 4-5-1 alignment was the formation of choice for Hebron. The following players had been chosen: Stefanino - Dolarea, Wąsala, Marraffa, Runza - Zenge, Rajah, Llopis, Kunst, Driesen - Kleinhans.

Using their counter-attacking abilities was the strategy of choice for Hebron. Some great play up the middle by FEYENOORD.WKS led to a chance for T. Hobi to score after 39 minutes, but the shot hit the crossbar. A corner kick created great disorder in the penalty area with a goal nearly scored by M. Puleo. At last, FEYENOORD.WKS's E. Tress was able to backheel the ball in. 1 - 0. R. Bertozzi's name was chanted throughout the stadium after he made a fantastic save from P. Kleinhans's shot from the left 43 minutes into the match. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 0. FEYENOORD.WKS enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 54 percent of possession.

The coach of FEYENOORD.WKS was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 46 minutes, A. Mazaev came on for N. Norrhall. A. Mazaev was the new captain of FEYENOORD.WKS - handed the armband by the departing player. Hebron's defence sent a ball soaring up the middle on a beautiful counterattack with 60 minutes gone, but A. Marraffa's finish was met by the reaching hands of the keeper. 81 minutes into the game Hebron managed a counterattack, but P. Kleinhans took a soft shot from the left flank that was easy prey for the alert keeper. A. Delicado was called on to replace Hebron's B. Llopis after 89 minutes following a nasty collision. S. Stefanino was caught napping as E. Farina lifted a ball over him following a free kick, but the ball hit the bar, rebounding into the keeper's arms. FEYENOORD.WKS had a magnificent opportunity after 89 minutes as A. Madaffari hit the ball hard from the edge of the penalty box. However, the shot went wide. Having been awarded a free kick in an awkward position after 89 minutes, FEYENOORD.WKS did not go for a shot but instead fired the ball hard into the 6 yard box. After a brief tussle with his marker, E. Desogus was able to power the ball past the keeper to make the score 2 - 0. FEYENOORD.WKS claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 55 percent.

The most dominating FEYENOORD.WKS player was without a doubt M. Puleo. R. Bertozzi on the other hand, had a terrible day. Hebron's best player was S. Stefanino. A. Zenge was a disappointment, however. The match ends 2 - 0.
