Wilgenboys clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle. Corus saw most attack opportunities on the wings. After 16 minutes, Corus put themselves up 0 - 1, as R. Ducrocq finished off a strike from the left with a real cannonball of a shot. The crowd was on its feet 33 minutes into the match, as Wilgenboys's B. Korder found himself unmarked in front of the goal after a dash up the left side. He calmly put away the 1 - 1 equaliser. 34 minutes in, Corus's A. Karlsson received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. They were singing the praises of B. Korder 35 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from the middle of the penalty box found its way over the visitors' keeper to make the score 2 - 1 to Wilgenboys. Wilgenboys's R. Nassini swung in a good chance from the left, but the visitors' defence were able to clear the ball. The visitors didn't give in and, after 39 minutes, R. Ducrocq got through the home side's central line of defence, rolling in the equaliser to make it 2 - 2. Corus's J. Gjermandsen got himself booked for a foul. 2 - 2 was the halftime score. Wilgenboys enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 61 percent of possession.

M. De Mel gave Wilgenboys the lead as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then slotted the ball into the bottom corner, giving the keeper no chance. 3 - 2 Corus's A. Grätz set up a perfect opportunity for J. Gjermandsen, but the latter failed to score. Wilgenboys had a good opportunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle attacks. Cheers filled the stadium as K. Kamandieris broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 4 - 2 to Wilgenboys. Wilgenboys increased the lead as R. Daene struck to make the score 5 - 2 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. Wilgenboys's R. Nassini saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates after 77 minutes. Wilgenboys had most of the ball, with 63 percent of possession.

The most dominating Wilgenboys player was without a doubt V. Garmata. J. Baranek turned in a dismal performance, however. Corus's best player was J. Gjermandsen. However, A. Karlsson made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 5 - 2.
