Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 12000 to ltf Arena. Anders Lindlind was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Henrik Schindler and Nils Tremskamp. ltf started off with a 4-4-2 lineup. They fielded: Žiužnis - Timofeev, Birkantas, Jaučikas, Voinišius - Čerkauskis, Tolbuzovas, Kestauskas, Šurpikas - Mikalauskis, Aučius.

Argo decided to use a 5-4-1 set up. The following players took the field: Steil - Zanders, Ardüser, Brönnecke, Laranjeira, Gamacho - Vaskó, Mezei, Dubatauskas, Koždoň - Diethelm.

The visiting C. Brönnecke was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 29 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 0 - 1 was the score. E. Dubatauskas of Argo took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 36 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 2. After this, you could see that the players of Argo were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. Halftime score was 0 - 2. Argo had most of the ball, with 80 percent of possession.

The home crowd was not impressed when E. Dubatauskas came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 54 minutes. Argo were now up 0 - 3. R. Aučius's speed is always a threat when he gets a little room to move, and 65 minutes into the match was no different as he broke free of his man to send a delightful through ball to S. Mikalauskis who knocked it in for ltf. 1 - 3! After 68 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed E. Dubatauskas to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 1 - 4. This third goal completed a hattrick for E. Dubatauskas. ltf's J. Voinišius was shown a yellow card after 73 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Argo enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 80 percent of possession.

ltf's top performer was clearly S. Mikalauskis. On the other hand, R. Aučius's play was disheartening. The most dominating Argo player was without a doubt G. Vaskó. P. Gamacho was a disappointment, however. The match ends 1 - 4.
