After 6 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Linea found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to poor. Almost all the way down to the corner flag, Linea's O. Larrosa somehow managed to get a perfect pass into the middle, impossible to miss for S. Berasategui, who struck for 0 - 1. After 14 minutes, A. Rukke made a dash down the middle past the away team's defenders to score the goal that made it 1 - 1. Linea's A. Ribera refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon after 26 minutes. After a fine move down the middle A. Noble nearly gave the home side a goal after 35 minutes. However the finishing shot went just wide. Some great play up the middle by Piriz led to a chance for S. Didden to score after 41 minutes, but the shot hit the crossbar. Halftime score was 1 - 1. Possession in this half belonged to Piriz, who controlled the ball 75 percent of the time.

Despite his frustration resulting in the smashing of a few teacups, the coach of Linea was able to get his message across, and raised Linea's organisation to passable. Piriz's F. Mestrallet tried to break through in the middle repeatedly, but couldn't get past the visitors' defenders. 56 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Linea substitution. E. Capitán came on for S. Berasategui. After 63 minutes, the visitors nearly went up a goal, but G. Eleutério's free kick hit the crossbar. Piriz were very close to putting themselves one up after 65 minutes as A. Rukke got through on the left, but failing in concentration, he shot the ball wide. Linea had several good opportunities to take the lead, especially 67 minutes in when E. Capitán came up alone against M. Villegas who managed a block. As the 69 minute mark approached, the Linea coach decided it was time for a substitution. E. Alzamendi reluctantly made way for C. Muñoz on the pitch. After 69 minutes, the Piriz coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving A. Noble off the field. D. Borrás took his place. O. Larrosa would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. J. Baltar entered the game for Linea as the match clock showed 71 minutes. 75 minutes into the game, Piriz wanted to bring some new energy to their game. S. Didden gave O. Betschy a quick hug as he left the field. Piriz enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 73 percent of possession.

With the scores being level after 90 minutes, the match went into extra time. During the break, Linea's coach went through the team's tactics yet again, getting them up to solid organisation. Making his way up the middle 93 minutes into the match, M. Straconi almost managed to squeeze a goal past the visitors' keeper, but the alert E. Manghini blocked it to keep the score level. Piriz had a good opportunity to take the lead as D. Borrás came up the left side, but he struck the ball weakly and it went straight into the arms of E. Manghini. S. Leimser caused the crowd to go mental with his goal up the middle after 109 minutes. This gave Piriz the 2 - 1 lead. Extra time over, Piriz were the victors! The most dominating Piriz player was without a doubt S. Leimser. R. Zdrada on the other hand, had a terrible day. E. Capitán performed admirably for Linea. However, C. Muñoz made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 2 - 1.
