Dark skies made the crowd of 11690 at Nuevo Gasometro a little nervous, but the rain held off. Lev Poltavchenko was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Stefano van Dortmont and Hugo Hornych. Fans of both teams had been eagerly awaiting this Ciudad de Buenos Aires derby and were doing their best to outshout their opponents. SanLorenzoDeBoedo had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. Guiscafre took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 34 minutes into the match. 0 - 4 for Trompitas. By then C. Guiscafre had scored three goals - a hat trick! By now, the players in Trompitas felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. With 35 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed N. Garnier of Trompitas to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 0 - 5. 0 - 5 was the score after the first half. Possession in this half belonged to Trompitas, who controlled the ball 75 percent of the time.

The coach of Trompitas was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 46 minutes, F. Beccaris came on for N. Garnier. After a short break after 46 minutes, Trompitas seemed to change their tactical approach a bit. F. That was his third goal of the match - a hat trick for A. Avellaneda. After 67 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for F. Beccaris who increased Trompitas's lead to 0 - 9. Trompitas's A. Avellaneda was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 71 minutes. A penalty was awarded after 78 minutes, and M. Cuberas made the most of his chance to put Trompitas up by another goal. 0 - 10 for the visitors. Trompitas increased their lead after 82 minutes when G. Vitolo broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 11, much to the home crowd's dismay. Trompitas had most of the ball, with 73 percent of possession.

G. Busse performed admirably for SanLorenzoDeBoedo. P. Barco turned in a dismal performance, however. Trompitas's best player was C. Guiscafre. On the other hand, N. Di Giovanni's play was disheartening. The match ends 0 - 11.
