Dark skies made the crowd of 815 at Fantasy Arena a little nervous, but the rain held off. Dumitru Teodorescu was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Rikard Flodkvist and Erik Šimánek. A 5-4-1 alignment was the formation of choice for Bonk. The following players had been chosen: Johansson - Kocatürk, Nefovski, Nedelkoski, Herbeck, Johansson - Noseda, Ehnbom, Isidro, Törnell - Gabrielsson.

FCL09 started off with a 4-5-1 lineup. They fielded: Schweden - Edler, Athimaritis, Overbeck, Bősze - Popović, De Gruyter, Rubrianti, Bálint, van Cauteren - Borgbeck.

It was obvious that Bonk were using their pressing skill as their primary tactic. FCL09 clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle. A mistake by the home side's central defence after 7 minutes allowed C. van Cauteren to score for FCL09. The scoreboard now read 0 - 1. After 10 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Bonk found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to inadequate. A. Bálint behaved like an inexperienced youth player after 13 minutes as he gave the ball away to A. Isidro. Lucky for him though, there was no goal. After the ball was lifted in from the left, P. Borgbeck was on his own in the home side's penalty area and should have scored after 20 minutes, but missed, probably due to lack of concentration. B. Popović came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle. He tried to lift the ball over D. Johansson but overcooked it and hit the bar instead. A. Bálint of FCL09 took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 35 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 2. The visitors' E. De Gruyter took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 41 minutes into the match. 0 - 3 for FCL09. 0 - 3 was the score after the first half. FCL09 had most of the ball, with 74 percent of possession.

Despite his frustration resulting in the smashing of a few teacups, the coach of Bonk was able to get his message across, and raised Bonk's organisation to solid. 53 minutes into the game, Bonk seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to passable. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, V. Bősze got himself booked. The manager of FCL09 was not happy. 70 minutes into the game, Bonk had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to weak. Bonk's B. Johansson refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon after 72 minutes. V. Bősze increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 4. Confident in their lead, FCL09's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. FCL09's E. De Gruyter made it through the home team's defence on the right hand side 79 minutes into the match. After rounding the keeper, he only had to place the ball in the unguarded goal when a defender slid in and cleared the ball off the line. FCL09 enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 79 percent of possession.

P. Gabrielsson performed admirably for Bonk. A. Isidro was a disappointment, however. FCL09's top performer was clearly A. Rubrianti. A. Bálint turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 0 - 4.
