Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 677 at Olímpico de la Manzanera today. Leif-Enar Jokelainen was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Gustav Walzik and Jean-Jacques Artus. A 3-4-3 alignment was the formation of choice for C.D.Autol. The following players had been chosen: Laserna - Monceau, Pruefer, Ulloa - Castropol, Forsling, Baraut, Hindsberg - Nessland, Bernà, Mújica.

Legnica started off with a 4-4-2 lineup. They fielded: Voss - Fresse, Ecenarro, Vargas, Flores - Dyduch, Briffaud, Kłys, Grocholski - Orłowicz, Sobusiak.

C.D.Autol clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle. Using their counter-attacking abilities was the strategy of choice for Legnica. The Legnica free kick 2 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But was this actually a plan? The ball landed at the feet of L. Flores, who was completely unmarked in the box. That's 0 - 1! The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave F. Pruefer from C.D.Autol a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 11 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! With the crowd on their feet chanting wildly, some great moves down the right hand side after 16 minutes gave C.D.Autol a wonderful opportunity to level the score, and J. Bernà stepped up to the challenge. 1 - 1 C.D.Autol's M. Baraut tried to break through in the middle repeatedly, but couldn't get past the visitors' defenders. Legnica were great at switching from defence to attack, and after 17 minutes, G. Fresse swept through the middle on a counterattack, making the score 1 - 2. Legnica's F. Ecenarro was shown a yellow card after 29 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Central attacks were the recipe of the day for C.D.Autol, as they moved the ball from the wings to the middle with startling regularity. C.D.Autol put pressure on the visitors' central defence 34 minutes into the game, but N. Monceau couldn't find an opening. C.D.Autol tried to even things up by sending a long ball towards the centrally placed strikers, but the visitors' defence got the best of this rather direct style of play. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 2. C.D.Autol claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 65 percent.

51 minutes were showing on the scoreboard when Legnica's F. Ecenarro received his second yellow card and was sent off. O. Kłys was handed the Legnica captain's armband. With a shot curled in from just outside the middle of the penalty area after 59 minutes played, F. Pruefer of C.D.Autol made the score 2 - 2. They were singing the praises of R. Hindsberg 60 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from the middle of the penalty box found its way over the visitors' keeper to make the score 3 - 2 to C.D.Autol. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in C.D.Autol's F. Mújica increasing the lead to 4 - 2. J. Orłowicz of Legnica received a yellow card after 81 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. C.D.Autol were given a gift! The ref dubiously awarded them a penalty 83 minutes into the match, which was neatly put away by F. Pruefer. 5 - 2 for the home side. After this, you could see that the players of C.D.Autol were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by C.D.Autol, with 68 percent of the ball.

C.D.Autol's top performer was clearly J. Bernà. F. Pruefer was a disappointment, however. Most important Legnica player was J. Orłowicz. A. Vargas on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 5 - 2.
