The 1219 spectators at
Zupka were in for an afternoon of sunshine.
Nándor Kakuszi was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Thomas Törnlind and
Karl Heinz Wolf.
A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Kilmes.
Starters: Başbağ - Heguiabehere, Boccafogli, Santillana, Camoletto - Peñalba, Cravero, Saldaño, Combi - Ortega Flores, Esteves.
mollocks had chosen a strategic 4-3-3 formation.
Lineup: Grasso - Wolvensberg, Tooze, Şovu, Ben-Ari - Zeisel, Garaiburu, Tomović - Dusso, Murer, Rárison.
Kilmes were relying on their ability to counter-attack.
mollocks clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle.
The home crowd was not impressed by the fancy moves of mollocks's
T. Rárison after 3 minutes. He converted a pass from the left for a goal, resulting in the visitors taking the 0 - 1 lead.
After 5 minutes,
N. Combi got through on the right and was very close to equalising for the home side, but didn't get the shot away.
Kilmes had to manage with a reduced squad after 6 minutes, as
J. Cravero got sent off for a needless foul away from the game's action.
J. Santillana was the new captain of Kilmes - handed the armband by the departing player.
15 minutes into the game, Kilmes had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to
inadequate.
A. Murer received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 23 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 2. The mollocks fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early.
mollocks had a good opportunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle attacks.
After 30 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave
S. Dusso a chance to increase the lead for mollocks, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 3.
After this, you could see that the players of mollocks were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals.
T. Zeisel could have put his team up another goal 34 minutes into the game, after a rush down the left, but his closing shot hit the post.
Halftime score was 0 - 3.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by mollocks, with 82 percent of the ball.
The Kilmes players spent the break getting a rerun of the team's tactical organisation and regained a
solid organisation when the game started again.
Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Kilmes's
Z. Başbağ was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 46 minutes.
S. Lentini was given a chance to change things around.
Some fine movement on the left led to a mollocks goal after 62 minutes, making it 0 - 4.
T. Rárison was noted down as the scorer.
The sunny day didn't make things easy for
W. Tooze who didn't seem his usual powerful self on the pitch.
Just a few inches to the right, and the visitors could have had a goal 67 minutes into the match.
S. Ben-Ari surely wishes he could do that free kick over again.
A. Murer didn't pace himself at all, and after a series of daring offensive runs he was too tired to help out in the defensive play.
A drive down the left side allowed
M. Garaiburu to get in close and score another goal for mollocks after 75 minutes, taking the score to 0 - 5.
It was a hot and sunny day, and several players seemed worn out. Maybe this was why
S. Ben-Ari found an unusual amount of space for his snappy footwork.
After 81 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for
T. Rárison who increased mollocks's lead to 0 - 6.
At that,
T. Rárison was noted down for a hat trick!
After several obvious shirt pulling incidents,
J. Santillana got himself booked. The manager of Kilmes was not happy.
The visitors'
S. Ben-Ari took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 84 minutes into the match. 0 - 7 for mollocks.
mollocks claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 82 percent.
L. Esteves performed admirably for Kilmes.
On the other hand,
J. Peñalba's play was disheartening.
Most important mollocks player was
M. Garaiburu.
However,
C. Grasso made a disastrous appearance.
The match ends 0 - 7.
