The 1475 fans in attendance at Loko Arena were roasting in the hot sun. Wilfried Ronchetti was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Clément Montfort and Román Miera. Going for long shots seemed to be the strategy in use by Eching. Eching's T. Puschen was dominating his wing and kept sending fine balls into the opposition's box - C. Kreis managed to volley one of them into the net to make it 0 - 1 after 19 minutes. Eching increased their lead after 24 minutes when P. Baudel broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 2, much to the home crowd's dismay. 34 minutes into the game, T. Puschen had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came J. Heftig. BoRussia had a brilliant opportunity to reply as G. Crosio received a high ball from the right, striking the ball in the air. Only N. Meneghesso's reflexes saved him. J. Heftig showed why he is feared on the counterattack, breaking through in the middle and scoring for Eching after 40 minutes to make the score 0 - 3. The players of Eching now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. The visitors' S. Samsa took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 43 minutes into the match. 0 - 4 for Eching. 0 - 4 was the score after the first half. BoRussia enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 59 percent of possession.

Although the whole team were struggling to impress, BoRussia's L. Petrelli was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 46 minutes. L. Conde was given a chance to change things around. L. Conde was handed the BoRussia captain's armband. With 46 minutes played, the BoRussia coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. E. Jensen came on, P. Ceresoles had to leave the fray. C. Grüter left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 46 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. J. Trojan was the replacement. The bench was restless, and with 60 minutes passed BoRussia's coach gave S. Miaoulis the opportunity the player had been hoping for. G. Crosio reluctantly left the field. With 61 minutes played, Eching put themselves up 0 - 5 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was J. Argenziano. The referee showed BoRussia's E. Jensen the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Several players seemed a little dazed by the warm weather, and were repeatedly tricked by the clever and agile E. Jensen. S. Samsa was, after 87 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but the home side's keeper B. Delpont made the save. A drive down the left side allowed J. Trojan to get in close and score another goal for Eching after 88 minutes, taking the score to 0 - 6. Eching claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 55 percent.

BoRussia's best player was E. Jensen. É. Dellama turned in a dismal performance, however. J. Argenziano performed admirably for Eching. On the other hand, N. Meneghesso's play was disheartening. The match ends 0 - 6.
