Dark skies made the crowd of 1163 at MaspalomasFC Arenas a little nervous, but the rain held off. MaspalomasFC mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle. After 25 minutes, the visitors nearly went up a goal, but F. Barruffi's free kick hit the crossbar. With 29 minutes gone, a long pass from the defence of Piero resulted in a counterattack that set E. Castelletti free through the middle, but the keeper made a spectacular diving save. Slack defending gave MaspalomasFC a chance to take the lead with 35 minutes played, but A. Maestre Cozar's cross from the left flank was fumbled in front of the goal and easily dealt with by the opposition. It was 0 - 0 at the break. MaspalomasFC enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 53 percent of possession.

V. Furioso of Piero received a yellow card after 47 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. S. Caffin would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. A. Muneta entered the game for MaspalomasFC as the match clock showed 50 minutes. After 50 minutes, the MaspalomasFC coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving N. Trasmonte off the field. R. Mancebo took his place. 53 minutes into the game, MaspalomasFC seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a passable level of organisation. Piero had several good opportunities to take the lead, especially 63 minutes in when C. Gerardi came up alone against M. O'Dwyer who managed a block. With 77 minutes played, the visitors broke through on the right after some poor defending. E. Castelletti put the ball away for 0 - 1. M. Lara Álvarez of MaspalomasFC was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. 83 minutes in, MaspalomasFC appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only inadequate. S. Rufín's speed is always a threat when he gets a little room to move, and 85 minutes into the match was no different as he broke free of his man to send a delightful through ball to R. Mancebo who knocked it in for MaspalomasFC. 1 - 1! The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave E. Ria from Piero a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 87 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! 88 minutes into the game, MaspalomasFC had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to poor. Neither team were able to dominate possession this half.

R. Mancebo performed admirably for MaspalomasFC. However, S. Rufín made a disastrous appearance. Piero's top performer was clearly M. Moa. F. Barruffi turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 1 - 1.
