Dark skies made the crowd of 685 at Stadion am Trattanger a little nervous, but the rain held off. Felix Scheurl was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Wolf-Alexander Sachsendorff and Niklas Johansson. Vierkirchen had chosen a strategic 3-4-3 formation. Lineup: Dekhil - Kling-Spötzl, Strohhofer, Shepard - Hickl, Pestarino, Maksimov, Rossney - Kronaus, Hauschel, Weberbauer.

Vierkirchen used their ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings. Using their counter-attacking abilities was the strategy of choice for Münster. They were singing the praises of B. Pestarino 7 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from the middle of the penalty box found its way over the visitors' keeper to make the score 1 - 0 to Vierkirchen. J. Hickl increased the lead for Vierkirchen to 2 - 0, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it! The players of Vierkirchen now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. Vierkirchen's B. Hauschel saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates after 18 minutes. B. Bolinth behaved like an inexperienced youth player after 28 minutes as he gave the ball away to C. Kronaus. Lucky for him though, there was no goal. V. Lüdgen of Münster received a yellow card after 30 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Münster's counterattacks created a good chance for J. Sulko on the right after 37 minutes, but he could only look on with dismay as his strike rebounded off the crossbar. Halftime score was 2 - 0. Possession in this half belonged to Vierkirchen, who controlled the ball 68 percent of the time.

53 minutes into the match T. Kling-Spötzl put Vierkirchen ahead 3 - 0 with a truly marvelous free kick. 60 minutes in, Vierkirchen's C. Kronaus received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. Münster were forced into a substitution as M. Vacek couldn't continue due to some rough treatment, forcing P. Aßmus to come in off the bench. J. Hickl really should have scored when he was chosen by fate to confront a wide open goal following a great play by E. Strohhofer after a corner. R. Bredkjær was caught napping as T. Kling-Spötzl lifted a ball over him following a free kick, but the ball hit the bar, rebounding into the keeper's arms. C. Kronaus had a fantastic opportunity to put Vierkirchen up another goal 72 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar. After 78 minutes, Münster raised their score by one when V. Lüdgen's dangerous low cross was cleverly tucked in at the near post by U. Wengenmeier. 3 - 1. Vierkirchen managed to extend their lead to 4 - 1 when B. Hauschel cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. C. Kronaus should probably have put his team up another goal after 84 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by R. Bredkjær kept the visitors in the game. After 85 minutes, the defensive line of Münster created a counterattack through the middle that gave F. Michlits a good look at the goal, but his shot glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. Vierkirchen enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 68 percent of possession.

Most important Vierkirchen player was B. Pestarino. However, E. Strohhofer made a disastrous appearance. The most dominating Münster player was without a doubt P. Nilsson. B. Kaffka turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 4 - 1.
