Dark skies made the crowd of 1379 at FC Lankwitz 05 Arena a little nervous, but the rain held off. Jean-Paul Mora was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Alfons Sorvali and Maxime Drogt. A 5-3-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Lankwitz. They fielded: Fernández Fuentes - Håland, Samaniego, Wernitz, Eduardo, Pärtna - Yakushenko, Güntherodt, Bomhöffer - Takounidis, Ulawski.

TomZ started off with a 2-5-3 lineup. The following players took the field: Brahmana - Sidabutar, Yakobus - Siburian, Mansori, Waworuntu, Luter, Valenti - Rougeot, Blomgreen, Sumitro.

Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of Lankwitz. TomZ were mostly trying to use their skill at attacking on the flanks. They were singing the praises of N. Takounidis 12 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from the middle of the penalty box found its way over the visitors' keeper to make the score 1 - 0 to Lankwitz. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Lankwitz's N. Takounidis increasing the lead to 2 - 0. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Lankwitz to 3 - 0 as M. Ulawski finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. Lankwitz increased the lead as T. Pärtna struck to make the score 4 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Lankwitz lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. B. Ebertz was called on to replace Lankwitz's M. Ulawski after 38 minutes following a nasty collision. After 39 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as TomZ found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to inadequate. With 40 minutes played, L. Eduardo of Lankwitz fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. 4 - 0 was the score after the first half. Lankwitz had most of the ball, with 61 percent of possession.

A review of the gameplan helped TomZ get back to a solid organisation when the referee blew his whistle again. TomZ needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 46 minutes P. Siburian made way for R. Mahardi. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, TomZ's J. Rougeot was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 46 minutes. F. Meka was given a chance to change things around. With 46 minutes played, the TomZ coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. L. Martadinata came on, C. Waworuntu had to leave the fray. TomZ's F. Meka got himself booked for a foul. Lankwitz's R. Bomhöffer was shown a yellow card after 56 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Lankwitz solidified their lead at the 59 minute mark, as B. Ebertz dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 5 - 0. With 65 minutes played, Lankwitz put themselves up 6 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to T. Pärtna, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. M. Fernández Fuentes made a brilliant save 68 minutes into the match, blocking a rocket of a shot from A. Mansori on the right hand side. Neither team was controlling the possession at this point in the match, with the stats showing a 50:50 split.

Lankwitz's best player was T. Pärtna. I. Yakushenko was a disappointment, however. Most important TomZ player was L. Martadinata. On the other hand, W. Blomgreen's play was disheartening. The match ends 6 - 0.
