732 fans braved the pouring rain at
domowa.
Jason Taylor was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Daniel Brønstad and
Elvis Laurītis.
Siewna started off with a 4-4-2 lineup.
They fielded: Jakuczun - Schwimann, Śwircz, Szczyrbak, Lampert - Obermeier, Hespanhol, Castaneda, Zemlicka - Bot, Bonvoisin.
A 5-4-1 alignment was the formation of choice for Chelsea.
The following players had been chosen: Gamliel - Bumbak, Scalzo, Straussen, Svartbekk, Barreveld - Orenborn, Ban, Goldsztein, Gotov - Seiça.
Chelsea saw most attack opportunities on the wings.
Attacking on the wings was the choice for Chelsea, and they were successfully passing the ball from the middle to the wings to attack.
25 minutes into the game, Chelsea had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to
passable.
F. Śwircz of Siewna was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle.
A lunatic dribble by
Z. Gotov, in front of his own keeper, set up Siewna's
M. Bonvoisin for an embarrassingly easy strike after 37 minutes. 1 - 0!
After 40 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Chelsea found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to
weak.
1 - 0 was the halftime score.
Possession in this half belonged to Siewna, who controlled the ball 57 percent of the time.
Despite his frustration resulting in the smashing of a few teacups, the coach of Chelsea was able to get his message across, and raised Chelsea's organisation to
passable.
The bench was restless, and with 46 minutes passed Chelsea's coach gave
R. Nizzoli the opportunity the player had been hoping for.
J. Svartbekk reluctantly left the field.
The goal to make it 2 - 0 was scored by
S. Lampert after 49 minutes, following an opportunistic counterattack down the middle by Siewna.
The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave
R. Ban from Chelsea a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 61 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient!
Chelsea had a good opportunity to attack in the middle, but remembered their instructions to focus on wing attacks instead.
64 minutes into the game, Chelsea seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a
poor level of organisation.
With 71 minutes played,
E. Barreveld of Chelsea fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving.
W. Schwimann had a hard time on the waterlogged pitch - his trademark technique was nowhere in sight today.
The muddy pitch made the game a gritty affair, which seemed to suit
J. Zemlicka just fine.
After 84 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by
G. Obermeier might have resulted in another goal for Siewna. However,
I. Gamliel made a spectacular save.
Siewna enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 63 percent of possession.
The most dominating Siewna player was without a doubt
I. Szczyrbak.
K. Jakuczun was a disappointment, however.
V. Seiça performed admirably for Chelsea.
R. Nizzoli on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The match ends 2 - 0.
