Haniş after 86 minutes following a nasty collision. With the clock showing 88 minutes played, a great pass from the defensive line of Gladenbach resulted in a counterattack that was smoothly brought under control by W. Stochniałek in the centre of the opposition's penalty area, but his finish went high. Smettwurst enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 54 percent of possession.

With the scores being level after 90 minutes, the match went into extra time. There was still no winner after 30 minutes of extra time so the teams had to select a lineup for a penalty shoot-out to settle the result.

McGuinness was relaxed as he smoothly put the ball in the net. 0 - 1! Clearly nervous from the start, Smettwurst's J. Rogner-Pollmann took a long run up, but could only blast the ball over the bar. Konárek attempt hit the underside of the bar, but rebounded down into the grateful arms of B. Hirn. The score stays 0 - 2. Gladenbach's M. Burgk made no mistake. B. Holzkirchen didn't have a chance. 0 - 3. Smettwurst's L. Fernandes looked like he knew exactly where he wanted to put the ball, but unfortunately his shot went wide of the left hand post. Still 0 - 3. Gladenbach's P. Bentkowski looked nervous even as he was putting the ball on the spot. He didn't take much of a run up, and his weak shot was easily saved by the keeper. Oooh - how unlucky! Smettwurst's F. Stenstad attempt hit the underside of the bar, but rebounded down into the grateful arms of B. Hirn. The score stays 0 - 3. Gladenbach's M. Barulho penalty shot was very well placed but B. Holzkirchen went the right way, blocking it spectacularly. The score was still 0 - 3. Smettwurst's best player was L. Tor. J. Rogner-Pollmann turned in a dismal performance, however. Most important Gladenbach player was W. Stochniałek. B. Hirn was a disappointment, however. The match ends 0 - 3.
