previous 6/10 next 8/10  Bigby_Team 0 - 2 Gina (392598687)

Dark skies made the crowd of 32000 at Bigby Arena a little nervous, but the rain held off. Charles-Henri Pelissier was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Clemens Amann and Norbert Gontier. A 5-5-0 alignment was the formation of choice for Bigby_Team. The following players took the field: Gillino - Håkansson, Gambocorta, Şerbu, Chapelle, Cascetta - Pietrzykowski, Tunkkari, Vidè, Reverón, Rapaccioli -.

Gina started off with a 4-4-2 lineup. Starters: Valsecchi - Studler, Ignoffo, Roselló, Caputi - Iadanza, Marincola, Fogu, Rusconi - Cafarelli, Berrutti.

Bigby_Team immediately set off using their skill at pressing their opponents. Gina seemed to prefer attacking in the middle. Bigby_Team's C. Cascetta was shown a yellow card after 18 minutes for slicing down an opponent. 25 minutes into the game, Gina seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to inadequate. 33 minutes into the game, Bigby_Team seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a inadequate level of organisation. A scuffle developed as players from both sides clashed following a tussle in the centre of the field 35 minutes into the match. After regaining order and consulting his linesman, the referee called Bigby_Team's B. Pietrzykowski to one side and produced a red card for the player. Central attacks were the recipe of the day for Gina, as they moved the ball from the wings to the middle with startling regularity. S. Berrutti came close to putting the visiting team one up 41 minutes into the match, following a solo raid down the middle, but U. Gillino managed to tip the ball to a corner. 0 - 0 was the halftime score. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Bigby_Team, with 59 percent of the ball.

The coach gave his players an extra tactical briefing during the break, and after that Bigby_Team had solid organisation. A review of the gameplan helped Gina get back to a solid organisation when the referee blew his whistle again. 49 minutes into the game, Gina wanted to bring some new energy to their game. G. Rusconi gave G. Andreani a quick hug as he left the field. 57 minutes into the game, Bigby_Team had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to poor. After 60 minutes, the Gina coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving N. Iadanza off the field. L. Garbarino took his place. As the 65 minute mark approached, the Gina coach decided it was time for a substitution. D. Ignoffo reluctantly made way for J. Estébanez on the pitch. With 65 minutes of the game having been played, J. Estébanez received a blow to the hip in a collision and was unable to continue. Gina, with no available replacements, now faced the prospect of finishing the game with a reduced number of players. After 66 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Bigby_Team found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to poor. The referee showed Gina's G. Andreani the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. The player down was P. Şerbu. The Bigby_Team bench looked worried for a while, but in the end he managed to get up. Given a free kick close to the byline, Gina tried a move that loyal fans may recognise from training. A pass to the side pulled the defence out of position which let S. Berrutti slip through on goal. He didn't have to break his stride, and slipped the ball past the keeper to make it 0 - 1, 86 minutes into the game. 87 minutes into the match, G. Andreani came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide. 89 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 2 as A. Roselló finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. Gina enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 62 percent of possession.

J. Reverón performed admirably for Bigby_Team. C. Chapelle on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating Gina player was without a doubt L. Garbarino. A. Marincola turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 0 - 2.
