Roth firing in from an acute angle to give the home side a 1 - 0 lead. M. Vestri was ever so close to scoring after an excellent corner was beautifully flicked on by M. Hawkins, but the ball bounced off the post to safety. B. van Zundert was struggling to make the ball dance with his usual trickery and panache, and the opposing players had little trouble shutting him down in these muddy conditions. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 0. Titans enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 51 percent of possession.

After 60 minutes, the Comano players received new instructions from their manager on how to keep in control of the game. Comano's U. Di Silvestro swung in a good chance from the left, but the visitors' defence were able to clear the ball. The referee showed Titans's L. Karpenko was given a chance to change things around. A. da Costa was the new captain of Titans - handed the armband by the departing player.
