The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 40925 had shown up at El Oasis II for the match. King were determined to attack on the wing and their central attempts were constantly abandoned in favour of the wings. A marvellous Birrisima effort on the right-hand side resulted in a goal after 20 minutes by J. Guarda, making the score 1 - 2. After 36 minutes Birrisima's J. Guarda limped slightly after a late challenge, but he was able to continue. 林. 迪民 (Dimin) was, after 39 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but the home side's keeper P. Notaro made the save. It was 1 - 2 at the break. King had most of the ball, with 62 percent of possession.

With 58 minutes played, King put themselves up 1 - 3 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was G. Faltinelli. With 68 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed A. Reus of King to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 1 - 4. At this point, it was obvious that the players of King lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave D. Virga from King a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 73 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! A drive down the left side allowed G. Faltinelli to get in close and score another goal for King after 75 minutes, taking the score to 1 - 5. This third goal completed a hattrick for G. Faltinelli. Possession in this half belonged to King, who controlled the ball 64 percent of the time.

J. Guarda performed admirably for Birrisima. On the other hand, O. Aldrich's play was disheartening. King's best player was D. Virga. H. Samun was a disappointment, however. The match ends 1 - 5.
