Clear skies welcomed the 12000 spectators who had made their way to Morumbi. Robert Walasik was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Nic Riekmann and Sergey Pavlenko. A 4-5-1 alignment was the formation of choice for PauloFCJP. Starters: Guedes - Sebnitz, Håkansson, 山田 (Yamada), Bronet - Lee, Hildebrandt, Iger, Harlanov, Ortel - Pūdžiuvys.

Superclusters decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. The following players had been chosen: Linskär - Sorvari, Edwald, Lytle - Davenport, 高松 (Takamatsu), 石井 (Ishii), 後藤 (Goto), Chamaillard - Reistad, Piechnik.

PauloFCJP clearly had decided to counter-attack when they could. 16 minutes into the game, E. Reistad had a great chance to put his team ahead, but his kick from the left went wide. After 21 minutes, Superclusters put themselves up 0 - 1, as D. Lytle finished off a strike from the left with a real cannonball of a shot. A defender managed to keep the ball from crossing the goal-line after a curling shot coming in from the right from B. Chamaillard after 29 minutes, and prevented Superclusters from going up another goal. 30 minutes into the game, B. Håkansson finished off a PauloFCJP left wing counterattack, making the score 1 - 1. B. Chamaillard's lightning pace was too much for J. Sebnitz who could only look on as the Superclusters player blasted one home. 1 - 2. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 2. Superclusters claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 61 percent.

After 51 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for E. Reistad who increased Superclusters's lead to 1 - 3. C. Montani was called on to replace PauloFCJP's J. Sebnitz after 59 minutes following a nasty collision. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, I. Harlanov got himself booked. The manager of PauloFCJP was not happy. After 69 minutes, speedy K. Lee dashed past his marker, making plenty of room for the second wave of attack. However, B. Pūdžiuvys failed to score. The bench was restless, and with 75 minutes passed PauloFCJP's coach gave J. Käfertal the opportunity the player had been hoping for. K. Lee reluctantly left the field. PauloFCJP needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 75 minutes B. Hildebrandt made way for K. Frei. Superclusters will have to do without V. Davenport for a time, due to a bad foot injury at the 78 minute mark. He was substituted by T. Talvi. With 80 minutes gone, I. Harlanov suddenly found himself completely free on the right wing when a counterattack by PauloFCJP caught their opponents by surprise. Only a great save by the opposing keeper prevented him from scoring. Superclusters enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 61 percent of possession.

B. Iger performed admirably for PauloFCJP. However, K. Frei made a disastrous appearance. The most dominating Superclusters player was without a doubt T. Piechnik. P. Linskär turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 1 - 3.
