It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 12000 that came out to Stadio delle Alpi. Jan Tolstrup was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Piergiorgio Stefan and Damian Wichmann. WarNox started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. The following players took the field: Paxton - Macey, Cacciatore, Nunes - Cappozzo, Anderfeldt, Wilhelmshagen, Recio, Gomes - Walls, Lacey.

A 4-5-1 alignment was the formation of choice for Hurricane. Lineup: Vreugdenhill - van den Hout, Ese, Hanlon, Brier - Grygowski, Utterholt, Vidov, 润仲 (Runzhong) , Hlásznyik - Szabó.

Several players seemed a little dazed by the warm weather, and were repeatedly tricked by the clever and agile Z. Szabó. The home crowd was not impressed by the fancy moves of Hurricane's M. Ese after 13 minutes. He converted a pass from the left for a goal, resulting in the visitors taking the 0 - 1 lead. Some fine movement on the left led to a Hurricane goal after 15 minutes, making it 0 - 2. Z. Szabó was noted down as the scorer. A drive down the left side allowed E. van den Hout to get in close and score another goal for Hurricane after 28 minutes, taking the score to 0 - 3. By now, the players in Hurricane felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. With 34 minutes played, M. Wilhelmshagen of WarNox fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. The referee showed WarNox's D. Macey the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Due to a severely mistimed tackle, A. Brier of Hurricane spent some time on the grass writhing in agony before he could get up and continue the game. 0 - 3 was the score after the first half. Hurricane enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 65 percent of possession.

With 57 minutes played, seemingly due to lack of experience, B. Hanlon needlessly tripped an opponent just outside the penalty area, but the free kick that followed didn't succeed. With 60 minutes played, Hurricane put themselves up 0 - 4 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was A. Brier. The Hurricane players could smell victory in the air. H. Utterholt wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for K. Liontaris after 65 minutes. Usually a powerful player on the field, D. Macey looked kind of pale and tired under the hot sun. B. Hanlon increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 5. The coach of Hurricane was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 75 minutes, D. Sutton came on for B. Hanlon. Z. Szabó left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 76 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. S. Jordan was the replacement. After 78 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed E. van den Hout to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 6. Hurricane increased their lead after 79 minutes when E. van den Hout broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 7, much to the home crowd's dismay. That was his third goal of the match - a hat trick for E. van den Hout. Hurricane claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 69 percent.

V. Lacey performed admirably for WarNox. However, R. Paxton made a disastrous appearance. Hurricane's top performer was clearly M. Vidov. M. Ese on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 0 - 7.
