Having turned the direction of play quickly, the Puntigamer counter attack ended as the ball carrier was brought down violently by a defender after 16 minutes. The resulting free kick was a flat shot into the area just in front of the keeper. However, the defence were on their toes and did not allow the opponents to reach the ball. The muddy pitch made the game a gritty affair, which seemed to suit G. Esparís just fine. Á. Plaza Sánchez was uncomfortable with the soggy pitch as he couldn't move the ball around with his usual grace. E. Pailer of MAAMers took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 36 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 2. At this point, it was obvious that the players of MAAMers lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. It was 0 - 2 at the break. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by MAAMers, with 74 percent of the ball.

After 53 minutes, the defensive line of Puntigamer created a counterattack through the middle that gave Á. Plaza Sánchez a good look at the goal, but his shot glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. After 66 minutes MAAMers's K. Vuorela had to be carried off on a stretcher in agony. R. Posch came in to replace him. After 68 minutes, Puntigamer switched O. Michaut with C. Velino, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. The visitors almost increased their lead after 75 minutes when a sweetly hit free kick looked like it was heading for the top corner. However the keeper managed to get a fingertip to it, sending it over the bar. Coming in from the right, Puntigamer had a good opportunity to convert on a counterattack after 76 minutes, but K. Schweiger's attempt to finish was easily stopped. After 80 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Puntigamer found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to solid. MAAMers had most of the ball, with 69 percent of possession.

Puntigamer's best player was M. Pihlajamäki. However, C. Trillaud made a disastrous appearance. MAAMers's top performer was clearly G. Esparís. On the other hand, R. Posch's play was disheartening. The match ends 0 - 2.
