30414 spectators had found their way to ROBU Arena, despite the heavy rain. Alexandru Ion was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Eugenio Pantani and Elõd Winkler. S. Paridaens sailed high above the opponents as he headed in a corner kick from B. Bačinić after 12 minutes of play, making the score 1 - 0. Coming from the right, F. Perrot almost managed to score another goal for ROBU, but his header was tipped over the bar by the visitors' keeper. B. Bačinić was uncomfortable with the soggy pitch as he couldn't move the ball around with his usual grace. F. Perrot was having a great game - if anything the pouring rain seemed to be spurring him on! Halftime score was 1 - 0. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Juniors, with 51 percent of the ball.

S. Crivelli's lack of experience almost gave ROBU a goal after 54 minutes, but the shot went right into the keeper's arms. ROBU's F. Perrot saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates after 57 minutes. X. Ropeter did not have a good day today, often losing his footing on the muddy pitch. After 72 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by J. Hennaut might have resulted in another goal for ROBU. However, I. Krinizky made a spectacular save. Juniors enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 53 percent of possession.

O. Winckelmann performed admirably for ROBU. P. Brianda on the other hand, had a terrible day. Most important Juniors player was B. Pfäffli. On the other hand, D. Rosee's play was disheartening. The match ends 1 - 0.
